Talent network
Talent management is a critical business challenge. In response to this, Saratoga launched the talent network in September 2003 creating a diverse group of HR professionals to discuss "talent" within a robust measurement and benchmarking context.
Issues facing organisations:
- Understanding how to integrate the key elements of talent management: identifying, attracting, developing, retaining and utilising
- Measuring the effectiveness of existing talent management policies
- Developing future leaders
- Measuring performance, potential or both when assessing talent
- Maximising work-based development for talented people
- Maximising, rather than alienating non-talent
- Providing a solid base from which members can measure, discuss and develop their talent management.
- Offering attendees the opportunity to discuss and compare talent management techniques, ideas and trends with other senior HR professionals from a range of industries
- Offering attendees the opportunity to come together three times a year to address topical issues such as talent management, leadership and graduate recruitment
- Offering attendees the opportunity to consider real-life case studies
- Actively promoting networking via open space sessions where members decide on a number of current issues they would like to debate within small groups
- Providing members with a personalised scorecard from quantitative analysis of their talent management techniques, including an interpretation and executive summary of what this means to their organisational performance
- Ensuring Talent network agendas are always attendee driven
